The Cyclists Alliance (TCA) has urged the UCI to revise its race security protocols after the CIC-Tour des Pyrénées was cancelled final weekend within the midst of a storm of criticism over what the union described as “a excessive stage of hazard and disrespect for rider security” within the race.

The Cyclists Alliance argued in an announcement printed this week that the “race was unsafe from day one” and that reside TV protection “offered ample proof of the disregard for rider security.”
