Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) stamped his authority on the seventy fifth version of the Critérium du Dauphiné, taking the general title and two solo stage victories. The Dane claimed the third WorldTour stage race crown of his profession – after the Tour de France and Itzulia Basque Nation – with the most important profitable margin on the Dauphiné in 20 years.

After grabbing the yellow jersey with a second-place end within the stage 3 time trial, Vingegaard was capable of maintain off a sizeable chase group on the 14km run to the end after taking a flyer on the ultimate climb on stage 7.
